This site uses text headings, labelled controls, a skip-to-content link, visible keyboard focus, descriptive image text and responsive layouts. Information is not conveyed by colour alone. The site does not autoplay audio or video, and reduced-motion preferences are respected.
The main guides are available without JavaScript. JavaScript adds calculator updates, source filtering, the quiz and some navigation controls. Manual examples remain readable when scripting is off.
Using a keyboard.
Use Tab to move between links and controls, Enter to follow a link or activate a button, and Space to toggle a checkbox or an expanded-answer control. On a small screen, the Menu button opens navigation; Escape closes it. Focus remains visible as you move.
Increase the browser’s zoom or text size as needed. Diagrams have text alternatives, and important explanations also appear in nearby page text.
